The Tsiakiris silk house which for 60 years engaged in the production and processing of silk in Soufli created with love and taste a unique multiplex in the city center of Soufli. Its purpose is to highlight and preserve the rich tradition of the area Silk. Original exhibits combined with modern technology, lead the visitor step by step on a journey as unique as silk itself. Within the framework of the ART MUSEUM silk made special tours on designated areas in organized groups and schools. The Silk Art Museum is housed in a renovated neoclassical building.
The museum visitor can get a glimpse of the silk production steps through the exhibits working as anapinisi, processing thread up weave. The exhibits are supplemented with video highlighting all stages of rearing silkworms until final proion.To Museum features multilingual electronic guiding system (XENAGOS) with which visitors can tour the museum in Greek, English, French, German, and special tour for the blind in Braille system.
